Data & Analytics Manager / Any Lewis Office


Overview

Lewis seeks a Data & Analytics Manager to lead data systems development and engineering to support our internal and external data systems. This role will provide direction for developing and enhancing analytics products and enable new innovative solutions to ensure these solutions meet the appropriate technical patterns that align with core client and internal business objectives. The individual will possess the technical expertise and communication skills to analyze complex issues and evaluate, select, and use existing and new BI technologies. In addition to technical skills, the individual will provide leadership of cross-functional teams to meet or exceed users’ requirements, translate business problems into actionable analytical solutions, and drive change at all levels of the organization. In addition to enhancing the data analytics services for the organization, this leader will establish operational measures for the team to ensure we are meeting the operational demands of the organization, making appropriate staffing recommendations, and establishing processes that ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

The suggested qualifications for this position are:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, healthcare administration, or related field required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of data and analytics solutions experience
  • Additional Skills/Requirements required:
    • Intermediate to advanced experience with database programming languages such as SQL.
    • Familiarity with receiving data from disparate data sources, including website analytics packages (Google, GTM), BI tools (Tableau, Hevo), and survey data platforms (Qualtrics); experience working with healthcare data is strongly preferred.
    • Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDP), API and developer tools for Google Analytics, common CRM and email marketing tools and cloud environments that support structured and unstructured data.
    • Intermediate to advanced experience in statistics and/or data science techniques.
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in data manipulation.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects to achieve organized, on-time results.
    • Experience with various data visualization tools.
    • Experience with cloud-based data storage technologies.
    • Experience with data validation and design of data controls.
    • Experience with business concepts, processes, information, and data.
    • Comfortable working with large and complex portfolios and data structures.
    • Ability to maintain composure and communicate with a varied audience.
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
    • Organized, methodical, and consistent in your approach to developing and iterating on code and infrastructure solutions, and able to proliferate these best practices to our engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage systems, processes, and data structures to build project and client-specific data environments.
  • Collaboratively build and design automation-rich environments and applications using disparate data sources to provide visibility into key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate well with the extended BI team members as well as Client Services.
  • Oversee deployments to production pipelines of our custom reporting infrastructure and review major production changes.
  • Work under defined deadlines and budgets.
  • Support and augment our Analytics team by seeing through the automation of workflows and productionizing ETL pipelines.
  • Contribute to proprietary code repositories for our Analytics reporting platform and home-grown utilities using R, Python, Shiny, and other infrastructures.
  • Serving as a player-coach, able to effectively manage a schedule that requires both hands-on development and people-management.
