Senior Media Specialist /
Lewis Communications seeks an experienced media planner/buyer with exceptional attention to detail and a deep desire to understand the "why" behind what they're doing on a daily basis. This person will become a part of a tight group where thoughtful work, a great attitude, and a team mentality always come first. They should understand and be able to explain little details around the plans and buys they execute, but must also be strategic-minded with an understanding of the other pieces (owned and earned content) of the plan to which they contribute.
Develop and lead strategic media recommendations based on the parameters and objectives of each campaign, such as goals, target audience, geography, timing, and budget
Manage omnichannel campaigns involving TV, Radio, Out of Home, Print, Paid Search, Programmatic Display, Streaming Audio, Streaming Video, Eblasts, etc.
Lead discussions and negotiations with media vendors to ensure that each campaign delivers all agreed-upon measurements and results
Analyze media opportunities to provide an agency point of view and make recommendations based on the current strategic direction
Craft rationale for recommendations and format into a presentation for internal and/or client-facing purposes
Reconcile monthly invoices to assure the accuracy of billing and schedule delivery
Collaborate with creative and content team members so that everyone understands placement opportunities and also to ensure that creative assets are developed following best practices
Build, optimize, and in collaboration with our analysts, report meaningful results for campaigns
5+ years of experience in media planning and buying
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Knowledge of all media channels including owned, earned, and paid
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, PowerPoint, and/or Keynote
Strong negotiation, oral/written communication, presentation, and mathematical skills
Exceptional detail orientation and commitment to high-quality work
Problem-solving skills and ability to respond and adapt to changing priorities
Experience working with media buying and research tools such as Advantage, Nielsen, SQAD, Sizmek, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, and Programmatic Buying Platforms
