Senior Research Project Manager / Nashville

  • Reports to: Vice President of Strategy and Research
  • Supervises: Research Project Managers/Coordinators


The suggested qualifications for the position of Senior Research Project Manager are:

  • Bachelor (4 year) degree is required in Advertising, Public Relations, or Marketing. Master’s degree preferred. Agency experience preferred.
  • 5-7 years of market/consumer research experience preferred. Master of Marketing Research and/or Master of Analytics candidates without work experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Deep experience in traditional qualitative and quantitative research methods.


Lewis is looking for a Senior Research Project Manager to lead, mentor and manage our internal research practice and interact with all teams within the agency in order to support our clients’ work. This individual should be highly capable in producing strategic insights, contributing to the final output of both brand and business strategy. You will manage research projects as assigned to you and, at the same time, will function as part of the broader Business Intelligence team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage research projects including methodology recommendations, project management and data analysis
  • Identify relevant research projects within existing and prospective projects
  • Collaborate well with the extended BI team members as well as client services
  • Communicate research insights both internally and externally
  • Work under defined deadlines and budgets
  • Develops, interprets and implements standards, procedures, policies, and protocols for research programs
  • Work alongside strategists to evaluate creative/messaging executions for accurate interpretation of research strategic insights
  • Train and instruct Research Project Manager, Research Coordinator and other support staff in research techniques and standards

Skills Required

  • Understanding and use of SPSS/R and how it’s used for both data analysis and data visualization
  • Skilled in various forms of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
  • A love of numbers! Ability to analyze data and draw out findings
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A self-starter with high expectations
  • Skilled at managing your own time
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects
  • Resourcefulness
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new research techniques/databases, including new and trending digital research tools
  • Persona development experience and consumer journey mapping experience also considered a plus
