Strategist / Any Lewis Office

This job description will provide you with guidelines for understanding your responsibilities. These guidelines may change to meet the specific business needs of the Agency. Salary and title may range based on experience.

As a Strategist, your role will be focused on producing strategic insights that help lead the final output of both brand and business strategy. You will be considered the champion of understanding integrated marketing activities across the funnel, as well as understanding key audience insights that affect the marketing and messaging approach. Passion and curiosity are required, inspiring the team by providing clarity and completion to connected brand experiences.

This position reports to the Vice President of Strategy and Research and supervises Strategy Coordinators and Strategy Specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Bring clarity to brand and business problems
  • Work alongside other strategists, research, and data/analytics team to guide creative/messaging executions for accurate interpretation of strategic insights
  • Use data and insights to identify the primary business problems as well as investable opportunities
  • Use Business Intelligence resources and tools to understand and craft audience profiles and strategies to tailor messaging strategies for objectives/goals
  • Understanding the inner workings of primary and secondary research
  • Be both industry and customer-centric, translating key consumer needs and challenges
  • Develop, distribute, and present creative and project briefs to the extended team – champion audience profile, human insights, and clear messaging platforms as part of this deliverable

Qualifications

The suggested qualifications for the position of Strategist are:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's (4-year) degree is required; in Advertising, Public Relations, or Marketing is preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience, advertising/marketing agency experience preferred
  • Understanding of business and brand principles
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
