Social Media Strategist / Birmingham

Description:

Lewis Communications is looking for an experienced social media leader to join the team. The candidate much have experience in all things social media - content, community management, paid social and reporting. They will have experience and an interest in public relations, strategic communications, crisis management and reputation management. This person will work across all departments to develop, execute, and advise effective social strategies for our clients.

Goals:

  • Manage, lead, mentor and coach social media team members responsible for community management, content creation and influencer programs.
  • Consistently create ongoing social media campaigns across multiple channels that achieve growth and engagement for our clients
  • Drive a stronger social media strategy by proving results through testing and metrics
  • Become a leader for media in terms of providing insight of placement in social channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat and more.
  • Financial and task management of assigned team members

Responsibilities:

  • Will need to build, lead and nurture social media advocates within internal team
  • Eager to provide and execute actionable ideas that enhance a brand’s presence and achieve business goals
  • Work with team members to ensure content calendars for our organic clients align with the brand strategy, social strategy and are based on analytic insights from previous efforts
  • Work with creative teams to bring social media ideas and campaigns to life
  • Lead planner of social media programs and campaigns
  • Manage the cadence of high-quality, brand-aligned content for clients
  • Develop campaigns based on in-depth analysis and metrics with internal and external partners
  • Set effective goals for measuring impact of social media campaigns based on the overall digital strategy for that client
  • Assist social content team with defining monthly and quarterly goals and content focusses
  • Ability to work between multiple teams across offices to develop cross-channel strategies
  • Collaborate with our media team to easily produce social media reports and identify ROI to present to leadership
  • Use former experience to advise social media team members on community management, customer service, and other social best practices
  • Assure consistent and brand-aligned engagement across all social channels
  • Manage brand reputation by integrating with PR to amplify engagement and communications using social media
  • Prepare crisis management plans specific to each client

Qualifications -

  • 4+ years experience in digital marketing and social media
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Passion for social media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong editing skills with attention to detail
  • Leadership and project management skills
  • Ability to articulate ideas that accomplishes client goals
  • In-depth knowledge of a variety of social media and blogging platforms - Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchap, Tumblr, etc.

  • Proficient in Keynote and Google Drive: Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, etc.

Art Direction Intern / Birmingham

You already have a good book and enormous promise. You have a great sense of craft and eagerness to learn. You’ll assist art directors on creative needs, big or small, from developing campaign concepts to executing campaign content. You’re willing and eager to jump in and work on multiple projects at once, often under tight deadlines and quick turnarounds.

In addition, you’ll be expected to collaborate and communicate with copywriters, social media coordinators, designers and account personnel as needed to see through the completion of any given project.
