Overview
Lewis is a dynamic and innovative marketing company seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team and drive data-driven decision-making within our organization. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will leverage your analytical expertise to extract valuable insights from data, create informative reports and visualizations, and contribute to strategic growth. Strong business and financial acumen will be leveraged to inform and expand on agency marketing/advertising initiatives. This job description will provide you with guidelines for understanding your responsibilities. These guidelines may change to meet the specific business needs of the Agency.
- Reports to: Vice President of Strategy & Research
- Supervises: Data Engineers & Data Visualization Specialists. Close cross-functional collaboration with digital producers, web developers, and channel engagement specialists.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role
- Strong business acumen with experience analyzing business data
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI)
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration
- Familiarity with programming languages (Python, R) is advantageous
- Experience with financial and marketing modeling (ex: Budgeting and Forecasting, Risk Assessment, RFM, Media Mix)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Collaborative nature with multitasking skills
- Relevant BI tool certifications are desirable
Responsibilities
- Analyze datasets to extract actionable insights and trends
- Develop and maintain regular and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and support data-driven decision making
- Work as a direct partner to strategists and research to arrive at insightful conclusions
- Design, or help guide design, visually engaging dashboards to convey complex data findings effectively
- Gather business requirements and propose data-driven solutions
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability through validation and cleansing
- Identify and report on the true business impact of agency/client initiatives
- Monitor KPIs and provide strategic recommendations for improvement
- Research market trends and competitive analysis to inform strategy
- Stay updated on BI trends and suggest process enhancements
